It’s the day after Christmas and I am sensing a theme on social media. In addition to the normal pictures and videos of happy children, there is a plethora of videos regarding unhappy women.

As someone who watches a lot of reality television, you realize quite often that it can mostly be entertainment with very little educational value. But occasionally, a show will surprise you and give you something that really sticks with you, makes you think and motivates you to do more. For me, that recent lightbulb of inspiration derived from the new series on Netflix, ‘Owning Manhattan’.

Relationships are interesting, whether it’s family, partners or friendships. People can express their needs or concerns extensively without ever being heard. Or perhaps they are heard and just not taken seriously.
